Our young students forge their lives by what they give. Helping others prepares them for a life of service and leadership in the world.

St Conrad School

Feb 19Just when our shelves were empty, St Conrad School came to the rescue! Students donated close to 100 kilos of baby clothing! Coats, blankets, hats, socks, shoes, onesies, pajamas, pants, dresses, tops, shirts... you name it! It was there! More, VP Patrick Cleary and Mr Pat Capozzolo delivered everything in person! Talk about servus servorum!  We are truly grateful to the families, to Mr Swain, to Mrs Iannozzi, to the Luke team, and to everyone involved. Your effort to give (especially at this time of the year) already proved a great blessing to many mothers last week.

St Raphael School

Principal Sarina Scarmozzino did not waste time. With less than 10 school days to Christmas Break, she added newborn clothes to the school's Christmas toy drive. It proved great. A Nigerian mother braved -29 C weather on January 2nd to find what she needed. She was ecstatic! No sales. Pass-it-forward. Thanks to families, classes and student leaders, we were able to open two weeks ahead of schedule. Each one of you made the difference!

St John the Evangelist School

In December, before Mother&Child had even opened a door, a woman gave birth to her "Canadian" son prematurely. She came to the parish church looking for food. She found it but, thanks to Principal Laurienne Graham, she also "inherited" a most needed stroller. Principal Graham put out a request for strollers on a Friday afternoon email. Ten parents responded. They delivered the strollers to the church! What love!
